After the thrilling and atmospheric matches of the 2019 World Cup and 2024 European Championship, the Olympic Park will once again host two preliminary round groups at the 2027 World Handball Championship.

Fans can look forward to seeing the German team in action: the hosts will play all three preliminary round matches at SAP Garden at the start of the tournament.

As with the two previous tournaments, Olympiapark München GmbH and the German Handball Federation (DHB) are responsible for organizing the 2027 World Championship in Munich. The atmosphere at the often sold-out matches during these tournaments in the Olympic Hall was already overwhelming. Whether at the 2019 World Championship with big teams like Croatia and Spain or at the 2024 European Championship with Iceland and Denmark. Who the German team will face in the SAP Garden 2027 will be determined after the end of the qualifying tournaments and the draw.

If everything goes according to plan for the DHB selection, the team could lay the foundations for a successful tournament in Munich from January 13 to 18, 2027 and perhaps win the title.
