With albums such as ‘Can't Stand The Silence’, ‘Prisma’ and “Neon”, Rea Garvey repeatedly placed in the top 5 of the charts. But the Irishman has always had a soft spot for Christmas. After all, he says, the holiday is ‘the moment in the year when we are allowed to slow down for a moment.’ Garvey premiered his ‘Christmas Calling’ show in Frankfurt in 2023, then brought the Christmas spirit to Düsseldorf in 2024, and in 2025 he moved on to Hamburg, Berlin and Frankfurt. And alongside mulled wine, speculoos biscuits and gingerbread, he always had his favourite Christmas songs with him, which he performed together with his band, the ‘Elfis’. A best-of Christmas playlist, from ‘Jingle Bells’ to ‘White Christmas’.
Now, with his Christmas party in Advent 2026, the Irishman is going on his first really big tour through eleven cities – with classic evergreens and modern compositions, cover songs and his own creations. As a preview, Garvey already presented the anthem ‘Happy Christmas’ and a new version of Chris Rea's classic ‘Driving Home For Christmas’ in 2025: two singles from his first Christmas album, which he will present with many more songs on 12 December 2026 at the Olympic Hall.
