Rock meets Classic

Farewell Tour 2026

Olympic Hall

Once again rock meets classic. Once again the great classic rock legends on tour with the RmC orchestra and band. In 2026, RmC will say goodbye and producer Manfred Hertlein will present one last highlight after another for the farewell tour. The show will take place in Munich on 12 April 2026 in the Olympic Hall.

Today, Rock meets Classic announced the signing of Tarja Turunen. The icon of symphonic rock and former Nightwish singer already headlined the RmC stage in 2024 and enchanted the audience with her gifted voice and fantastic hits such as ‘Nemo’ and ‘I Walk Alone’, which sound even bigger than usual when accompanied by the RmC Symphony Orchestra.

Tarja is regarded as one of the best rock singers in the world and her operatic training and great vocal colour make her the perfect fit for Rock meets Classic. The Finnish singer epitomises the fusion of rock and classical music like no other.

RmC producer Manfred Hertlein: ‘Tarja and RmC are a fantastic match - we've known that at least since her brilliant performances in 2024. We're delighted to be able to welcome her back on the Farewell Tour!’

With super guitarist Michael Schenker (formerly of Scorpions & UFO), Hertlein was able to announce another virtuoso for the Farewell Tour 2026 four weeks ago. Schenker, who is regarded as a role model for entire generations of rock guitarists, will - together with his singer Roberto Dimitri Liapakis - perform a best-of set by English hard rock legends UFO at RmC, for whom he swung his Flying V as a teenager between 1974 and 1978 and created milestones in rock music with ‘Doctor Doctor’, ‘Lights Out’ and ‘Rock Bottom’, which earned him the nickname ‘German Wunderkind’ due to his ingenious guitar playing.

In addition to icon Tarja and the ‘German Wunderkind’, RmC 2026 will also feature ‘Danish Dynamite’. Fans can look forward to Ronnie Atkins, the lead singer of Danish hard rock band Pretty Maids, taking to the stage at RmC for the first time. Together with the RmC band and orchestra, he will be rocking Pretty Maids' best-known hits such as ‘Future World’ and ‘Red, Hot And Heavy’.

The Pretty Maids stand for a heavy rock style characterised by Deep Purple & Thin Lizzy, consisting of aggressive rock riffs paired with melodically sophisticated arrangements. To be seen and heard on the eagerly awaited RmC ‘Farewell Tour’ 2026 in seven German cities.
