The decisive impetus for their return to German arenas came from the big home concert marking the band’s 60th anniversary: on 5 July 2025, the Scorpions celebrated six decades of rock history under the banner ‘Coming Home’ at the sold-out Heinz von Heiden Arena in Hanover. (Die ZEIT: “A party with fireworks!”, Metal Hammer: “A rock spectacle”, NDR Kultur: “A rousing rock concert”.) The enthusiasm on that evening and the special bond between the band and their audience continue to resonate. The 2027 concerts will build on this and serve as a thank-you to the fans who have been asking for further performances in Germany.
The Scorpions’ music received renewed attention thanks to Klaus Meine and Rudolf Schenker, who appeared as special guests on the VOX programme “Sing meinen Song – Das Tauschkonzert” on 19 May 2026. The fresh interpretations of their songs once again put the band and their music in the spotlight. Following this immensely successful evening of television, German fans’ desire to see the Scorpions back on the concert stage grew.
In 2027, the band’s world tour will now also take them to four German arenas. This marks a new chapter in their connection with their home audience next year. Alongside further concerts on their world tour in Europe, the USA and Mexico, the Scorpions will be performing at the Olympic Hall in Munich on 22 May.
