Following his debut album Stage One (2000), Sean Paul achieved his big breakthrough two years later with Dutty Rock, an international milestone in the dancehall genre. Paul himself described the album as a tribute to long party nights in his Jamaican homeland, to garden parties with mango trees bathed in moonlight. Singles such as Gimme The Light, Like Glue and I'm Still in Love With You reached the top 15 in the Billboard charts, while Get Busy became Paul's first number one hit in the US.
With ‘Temperature’ from the follow-up album ‘The Trinity’, he stormed back to the top of the US charts, expanding his musical repertoire with further albums such as ‘Imperial Blaze’, ‘Tomahawk Technique’ and ‘Scorcha’. Sean Paul also made a name for himself as a sought-after collaborator for other global stars, whether for Beyoncé or Dua Lipa, Clean Bandit or J Balvin, with whom he created hits such as ‘Cheap Thrills’, ‘No Lie’ and ‘Rockabye’. In 2026, Sean Paul will embark on a major European tour featuring old hits and new songs, returning to the Olympic Park for a concert on 2 March – almost two decades after his performance at the Air & Style 2007 snowboard spectacle at the Olympic Stadium.
