SOMBR

He was one of the biggest newcomer sensations of recent years. With his single “Back To Friends”, Sombr stormed into the top ten of the international charts in 2025, whether in his native US, the UK or Germany. Following his performance at Superbloom 2026, the songwriter is now returning to the Olympic Park – this time in the Olympic Hall as part of his “You Are The Reason” tour.

Born Shane Michael Boose, he grew up on New York’s Lower East Side and was already singing as a child. At La Guardia High School, he took lessons in classical singing and performed songs in various languages, including Italian, French and even German. To fund the setting up of his own music studio, he worked part-time in an ice-cream parlour, spending most nights between 1 and 4 am writing new songs on his own in his bedroom.

At the age of 16, he released his first single, ‘Nothing Left To Say’. After his songs went viral online, he achieved his breakthrough in 2025 with ‘Back To Friends’. Further singles followed from his top-ten debut album ‘I Barely Know Her’, including ‘Undressed’, ‘We Never Dated’ and ‘12 to 12’. In 2026, he achieved his next major success with “Homewrecker”, which reached number 4 in the UK charts. Unsurprisingly, Sombr has already racked up numerous awards – including a hat-trick at the 2026 American Music Awards in the Rock/Alternative category. There, he swept the board as Breakthrough Artist, for Best Song (“Back To Friends”) and for Best Album (“I Barely Know Her”).

In May 2027, Sombr is heading out on a German tour with Ravyn Lenae and Jessie Mazin as support acts.
