Christmas is the festival of love and peace. ‘Bethlehem’ brings the Christmas story into the here and now: a young family experiences rejection and marginalisation in a foreign city. A power-hungry ruler secures his position through violence. But faith in God and the power of love give the family hope and courage to stand up for peace.
With a combination of gospel music and well-known Christmas melodies, the Christmas story becomes a living event that connects, touches hearts and provides unforgettable moments.
SING WITH! and experience an unforgettable sense of community. Whether choirs, groups, school classes, families or individuals.
Everyone is welcome to join the colourful choir
The songs are rehearsed with a choir score and practice CD, as well as during individual and joint rehearsals, before being brought to the big stage with a professional musical ensemble and live band.
Transcending all religious boundaries, Bethlehem conveys the power of the Christmas story and brings it into the here and now: a young family on the run experiences rejection and marginalisation in a foreign country. A power-hungry ruler secures his position through violence. But their trust and love give the family hope and the courage to stand up for peace. Between the fire barrel and barbed wire, the magic of Christmas unfolds in an unrivalled production. Sung by more than 1,000 voices, the biggest Christmas musical in Munich sends out a strong signal for solidarity, love and peace.
