The band celebrated their breakthrough in 2005 with the mega-hit ‘Durch den Monsun’. The song climbed to number 1 in the German charts, as did subsequent singles such as ‘Rette mich’, ‘Der letzte Tag’ and ‘Übers Ende der Welt’. And, of course, the debut album ‘Schrei’ also reached the top position in Germany. With the English-language version ‘Monsoon’, the Kaulitz twins and their bandmates Georg Listing and Gustav Schäfer also took off internationally from 2007 onwards, winning a string of awards in America, for example. From the ‘MTV Music Video Award’ for Best New Artist to the ‘MTV Latin Music Awards’, where they emerged as winners in four categories.
In the early 2010s, Bill and Tom Kaulitz moved back to Los Angeles, only to land another bestseller in 2014 with the fourth Tokio Hotel album ‘Kings of Suburbia’. They scored another big hit with ‘White Lies’ in co-production with Vize. After their acclaimed performance at the Superbloom Festival in the Olympic Stadium in September 2024, the quartet is returning to the Olympic Park in 2026 - and promises: ‘This time we're taking everything to a new level. The stage design, the production and the setlist - everything will be extraordinary!’
