On 5 November, Munich will be the venue for the fifth edition of the "Handball day" . The German U18 juniors will meet Turkey in the Olympic Hall, while the women's senior team will take on Hungary three weeks before the World Cup. The men's national team will face the African champions and this year's World Cup quarter-finalists Egypt. For the team of national coach Alfred Gislason, this is a real endurance test, two months before the start of the European Championship in Germany - and for the Munich audience, the right foretaste of the home tournament in January 2024, where the Olympic Hall will be the venue for twelve preliminary round matches, all of them in Groups C and F. In any case, the high European Championship favourite Denmark, the triple World Champions of 2019, 2021 and 2023, is seeded for the matches in Munich.
In addition to the three international matches, the "Day of Handball" will also offer numerous hands-on activities, especially for children and young people, in the Olympic Hall.
