The artist, who was born in South Africa in 1946, has been closely associated with the Olympic Park for over 40 years. In 1982, he performed in the Olympic Hall for the first time and returned again and again in the years that followed, not only for numerous other concerts. In 1987, for example, he headlined the Munich Six-Day Race, and in 2003 he was the first celebrity ever to immortalise himself on the Munich Olympic Walk of Stars on the shore of the Olympic Lake. Howie's handprint made the start there.
His fans will be able to see for themselves what a great entertainer Carpendale still is on 18 May 2024 in the Olympic Hall. When he becomes a storyteller again, makes the audience think with episodes from his life and then makes them laugh again. When he finds the right balance of quiet and danceable moments, of unforgettable hits and new songs, of melodies that are so familiar and yet surprisingly reinterpreted. When he inspires with lovingly arranged medleys and an elaborate stage show - and all this in a sometimes intimate and nostalgic, sometimes vital pulsating, electrifying atmosphere. Carpendale is guaranteed to cast a spell over the audience again this time.
