The Chemnitz rap-rock band Kraftklub, who will be going on tour again in 2026 after the release of their fifth studio album ‘Sterben in Karl-Marx-Stadt’ and will also be playing the Olympic Hall.

The success story began in 2011, when Kraftklub sang ‘Ich will nicht nach Berlin’ as Saxony's entry in the Bundesvision Song Contest and not only reached fifth place, but also entered the charts for the first time. A short time later, the quintet stormed to number one in Germany with their debut album ‘Mit K’. The subsequent albums ‘In Schwarz’ (2014), ‘Keine Nacht für Niemand’ (2017) and ‘Kargo’ (2022) also reached the top position in Germany. The band caused a sensation in 2012 with an unannounced concert together with K.I.Z. on the roof of the Terminal 3 commercial complex in Chemnitz. The band's political and social commitment is also remarkable. In September 2018, Kraftklub played a large open air concert in front of around 65,000 people under the motto ‘Wir sind mehr’ (We are more) following the right-wing extremist riots in their hometown, together with other bands such as Die Toten Hosen and Feine Sahne Fischfilet.
