The Olympic Hill is a must see spot for all visitors of the Olympic Park. As one of the highest elevations the hill provides not only an impressive sight on the Olympic Stadium and the unique architecture of the Park – it also delivers a most stunning view on the City of Munich and the Bavarian Alps.

For a couple of times the Olympic Hill has been the stage for world class events mainly in Wintersports. The hill with a height of 56 meters was built artificially between 1948 and 1957 by piling up the ruins and the debris of the destroyed buildings during WW II. The world’s best female ski racers came together for a parallel slalom in 1986 and 1987. In 2001 there was a World Cup Parallel Slalom for the snowboarders before on the New Year’s Days of 2011 and 2013 the top class of male and female Alpine Ski Racers showed their skills during the World Cup Parallel Slalom in front of overall 42 000 spectators.
