impark13 summer festival from 1 to 25 August in the Olympic Park

25 days of pure summer! There really is something for everyone! The impark¹³summer festival –  25 days packed full of everything that puts the fun into summer. From 1 to 25 August, lots of attractive hands-on activities, fairground rides, culinary delights and all manner of fun will be on offer for everyone of all ages. On 8 and 15 August, two firework displays will be lighting up the night sky over the Olympic Park, and on 6 and 20 August the youngest visitors to the festival will be able to enjoy the performer's great kid's days. There's also plenty of music going on every day at the live concerts in the MusikSommer Theatron. Each day, from 7 p.m. onwards, bands from a variety of genres, from classic and hip hop to rock and pop, will be performing - and entry is free! A new feature this year is the Animatronics Dinosaur Exhibition, which has 17 dinosaurs to be marvelled at. These remote-controlled prehistoric creatures move like they're alive. Some of them can even be ridden by children! At the Speed Carving sessions, held between the 2nd and the 4th of August, artists will be creating around 20 different figurines measuring around two metres tall from wood, using chainsaws! The works of art will then be available to buy. And of course no summer would be complete without the summer festival classics, such as the booths for browsing and shopping, or the stands and fairground rides operated by Munich's showmen. Gourmet Alley (Feinschmeckergasse) this year offers a variety of delicacies - from Asian and Bavarian to vegetarian. The wakeboarding area on the Olympic Lake offers the ideal place to cool down and relax. The waterski facilities will be available to the public throughout the summer festival for just Euro 15. The official Wake Masters Contest, in which the best wakeboarders in Germany will battle it out for the prize of just under Euro 2,000, will be held on the weekend of the 10th and 11th of August. The AHOI Beachbar, on Munich's most beautiful city beach, will be open daily from 9 a.m. Right on the Olympic Lake there will be 800 m² of sand, deckchairs and cool-down cocktails waiting for you. The bar also offers organic produce, breakfast and various hot dishes. Girls' Special: Mädchen and Manhattan clearface magazines want you!
Anyone visiting the summer festival professional styling session in the Olympic Park on 7 August will have the opportunity become a back cover model in Mädchen. So with all this on offer, there's only one thing to do: Get to the Olympic Park and celebrate the summer!
