For 24 days, the Olympic Park was once again a lively, diverse world of experiences: the summer festival delights a total of around 360,000 visitors. Under the patronage of Mayor Verena Dietl, the Olympic Park event offered a programme that left nothing to be desired.

Mayor Verena Dietl opened the traditional summer festival in the Olympic Park today, Friday, 1 August, as patron. Together with Marion Schöne, managing director of Olympic Park Munich Ltd., as well as Peter Bausch and Robert Eckl, managing directors of VMS, the event company of Munich Schausteller Ltd., she tapped the first beer barrel.

On Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Square, at the Olympic Lake, on the peninsula, at the Theatron or on the roof of the Small Olympic Hall: at the 9th Outdoor Sports Festival on Sunday, 28 September, there will be something for Munich residents to discover everywhere in the Olympic Park.

For a moment, it looked as though the weather might spoil the Summer Night's Dream. But in the end, the programme was able to continue after a brief interruption. 30,000 visitors had come to the Olympic Park to celebrate the 20th anniversary.
